RELEASE NOTESFYLLYO 0.8.0

Scans and phone photos read right, and a review that tells you more

Fyllyo now reads scanned pages and phone photos with a dedicated reader that runs on your Mac, so the numbers on a photographed pay stub or a scanned 1099 land in the form exactly. The review also explains every field it leaves for you.

Scans and photos, read right

A new reader for scans and photos runs on your Mac alongside Fyllyo's AI model. In our tests it read every amount and date right on clean and scanned pages, and on 98% of phone photos, without inventing a single number. Fyllyo downloads it by itself (about 1.1 GB) after the AI model, and you'll see it in the top bar and on the Models page.

Each page of a PDF is now read from its text where that holds the numbers, so a table row stays on one line, and from its image where it doesn't, as on many pay stubs and every scan. Apple's own text recognition reads each image a second time: if an amount was seen by only one of them, Fyllyo points it out for you to check.

A review that tells you more

When Fyllyo leaves a total empty because one number behind it wasn't in the documents, the review says which number. An amount in another currency, like a foreign bank balance, is never added to dollars: Fyllyo asks you to convert it or leave it out.

Based on shows the lines a value really came from. Fewer notices: a zero left blank or a field written the way its rule says no longer asks for a look.

Fixes

Two-digit years such as 08/12/25 are read as dates. A masked number like XXX-XX-6203 never puts its last digits into a form box by box. An amount that appears twice in the documents, such as a total and the same total on a summary, is counted once more reliably.
