Is Foxit PDF Editor free on a Mac?

No. The Editor is $129.99 a year, or $16.99 month to month, after a 14-day trial. Foxit’s free PDF Reader can view, annotate, fill and sign. In Fyllyo every PDF tool is free, including OCR, redaction and text editing. But Foxit does more in places: it runs on Windows and the web, converts to Office files and finds form fields for you.

Does Foxit’s AI upload my PDFs?

By default, yes. Foxit says its AI Assistant runs on Microsoft Azure AI services, and uploaded data is deleted within 24 to 48 hours. Its Local AI mode, on Apple-silicon Macs, keeps documents on the machine, with fewer features. Fyllyo’s AI form filling always runs on your Mac.

Why pay for Fyllyo when Foxit Reader is free?

You don’t have to: Fyllyo’s PDF tools are free too, and go further than a reader, with OCR, redaction and text editing. You pay only for AI form filling. AI form filling is $99 once. That buys a lifetime licence for one Mac at a time, with free updates and a 5-day free trial. Filling more forms never costs more. The one other charge is for setting up a form of your own.
